I I I
The Railroad Station
The Town Square
The fabric on the left in the lefthand photo looks Eastern
Maybe it's from the Dutch East Indies
The one on the right in that photo is certainly from Delft
How nicely it compliments the lovely little vase at the top of the righthand photo.
The pictures above are aspects of what the town of Delft,
in South Holland, is known for;
the very beautiful blue and white Delft pieces,
especially the tiles, are known all over the world.
in the "factory" photos--I ran in, shot them and ran out,
(with permission of course),
without time to learn their meaning,
as an exquisite glass of wine was waiting right around the corner.
The young lady at the table along the main street tells the tale.
I suspect that most of the denizens of the town
grow up learning to do this delicate, lovely painting.
I think the man on the right is an organ -grinder,
and is transporting his things in a baby carriage
But I could be very wrong
Just in case I am,
I hope he doesn't mind my misrepresentation of his conveyance
Each roof has its own personality
I love that
They seem to have jumped out of a childhood picture book
