ECHO HILL STUDIOS
ARTIST: ANN KAHL
(Please accept my apology for any lack of clarity in photos of my paintings. Many have been sold or are in private collections, and I have had to depend on old photographs. But the gist prevails. Ann Kahl)

PORTUGUESE TOWN CASTLE BIRDS THE PAGODA
EIGHT BALL PRIDE OF MINNESOTA
These four paintings are based on the mobius, a symbol of universality. Being iconic, the first three sold quickly. (I just finished the fourth one. It isn't signed yet.)
CUP and SAUCER STREET IN PROVENCE COOL CELLER AT ECHO HILL
The "Street in Provence" is painted on the back of a dresser. It will be fun someday for someone to find that dresser in an antique shop or whatever, and discover the lovely oil painting on the back of it.

The Girl At The Window
Please, Death, don't take my paintings with me.
Leave them here.
I'll come back. I promise.
The girl looking in the window,
On a cold, dark night,
Seeing the warmth.
And the light inside.
Breaks my heart.
I don't know where she came from..
One day, while I was lost
In my own mind,
The canvas was there, and the paint.
And then I wasn't alone
Because she was alone with me;
Looking in the window,
Seeing all the lights,
And the warmth, and the people.
Knowing the world was there,
Even though it wasn't there for her or me.
